This symposium was organised in partnership with "Désir...Désirs", the LGBT cinema and TV festival of Tours.International audienceA trans-disciplinary one-day symposium to consider the sociological and societal importance of television fiction through the prism of the representation of subaltern audiences. At the crossroads of cultural, film and television studies, English- and Spanish-speaking civilisation and philosophy, a panel of researchers discuss the influence of queer theory on serial creation, auteurism, the showrunners' point of view, the notion of media normalisation and the importance of reception. This overview is supported by international examples and key themes such as coming out, illustrated by mainstream and cult works: Will and Grace, Six Feet Under, Grace and Frankie, Dynasty, Sense8, Hannibal, Looking, Buffy the Vampire Slayer...Cette journée de réflexion transdisciplinaire s'est penchée sur l’importance sociologique et sociétale des fictions télévisuelles au prisme de la représentation des publics subalternes. Au carrefour des études culturelles, cinématographiques et télévisuelles, de la civilisation anglophone et hispanophone et de la philosophie, un panel de chercheuses et de chercheurs a échangé sur l’influence de la théorie queer dans la création sérielle, la question de l’auteur, le point de vue des concepteurs, la notion de normalisation médiatique et l’importance de la réception. À l’appui de ce tour d’horizon, des coups de projecteurs sur des exemples internationaux et des thèmes déterminants comme le coming out, illustrés par des œuvres grand public et cultes : Will and Grace, Six Feet Under, Grace and Frankie, Dynasty, Sense8, Hannibal, Looking, Buffy the Vampire Slayer..
